Wood is currently recruiting for a Construction Completions Package Coordinator to join our Minerals & Metals business. This opportunity is located at our construction site in Northern Saskatchewan.




The Role


Wood currently has an opportunity for a Contracts Administrator - Project Controls (CA-PC) to join the Mining & Minerals business. Functionally reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain and the site Construction Manager, this role combines contract administration and project controls responsibilities to support successful delivery of the Denison Wheeler River Project. The position is responsible for post-award contract administration, change management, cost control, schedule impact assessment and progress monitoring.


The CA-PC is part of the project team specializing in the management of large construction and service contracts. The role ensures contractual compliance while providing robust project controls oversight for changes, forecasting, reporting, cost tracking, and schedule assessment throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities:


  • Manage, coordinate and administer contracts to ensure cost and schedule compliance.

  • Manage the contract change order process for in-scope and out-of-scope work.

  • Develop and maintain construction progress activities utilizing project management systems.

  • Assist with monthly project reports for construction progress, contract status, cost, and schedule performance.

  • Monitor contract performance, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate contract closeout activities and project handover requirements.

  • Maintain project controls data including change logs, commitments, forecasts, and progress tracking.

  • Support cost control earned progress measurement, forecasting, and management reporting.

  • Review contractor submissions for completeness, accuracy, and contractual compliance. 

  • Lead the administration of Contract Change Orders (CCOs), ensuring scope, cost, schedule impacts, risks, and assumptions are clearly defined and documented.

  • Review and validate contractor change submissions for accuracy, completeness, contractual compliance, and pricing integrity.

  • Maintain change logs, contract value reporting, forecasts, and Delegation of Authority (DoA) compliance tracking.

  • Evaluate schedule impacts, critical path implications, and mitigation opportunities associated with contract changes.

  • Coordinate with engineering, construction, project controls, and supply chain stakeholders to support scope, cost, and schedule evaluations.

  • Identify, communicate, and manage commercial risks, assumptions, information gaps, and potential cost and schedule exposures.

  • Prepare commercial evaluations and recommendations to support approvals.

  • Maintain project controls records, including commitments, forecasts, trends, progress measurement, and change management data.

  • Monitor contractor performance and contract compliance, recommending actions to mitigate commercial, financial, and schedule risks.

  • Support commercial strategy development, contract negotiations, claims management, and dispute resolution activities.

  • Ensure contracts and change management activities comply with project governance, approval requirements, and corporate procedures.

  • Prepare commercial and project controls reporting for project leadership and senior management.

  • Drive contractor accountability through performance monitoring, progress reviews, and issue resolution.

Expected:


  • 8-15 years of contract administration experience within EPC/EPCM projects, preferably heavy industrial construction environments.

  • Experience with project controls, cost control, change management, forecasting, and schedule analysis.

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or related discipline.

  • Knowledge of construction contract formation including service and consultant agreements.

  • Ability to administer post-award contracts including change management and claims negotiation.

  • Familiarity with Unit Price, Time & Materials, and Lump Sum contracts.

  • Understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and progress measurement methodologies.

  • Advanced skills in MS Office, SharePoint, project management and reporting systems, and database applications.

  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.

  • Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
