Responsibilities
- Lead the design, deployment, monitoring, and support of a broad infrastructure portfolio including servers, desktops, mobile devices, data storage, HPC, backup systems and enterprise applications.
- Benchmark and analyze infrastructure performance; recommend improvements and migration strategies.
- Develop and implement security policies, standards and procedures for network and connected infrastructure systems.
- Oversee network monitoring and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Conduct security audits and investigations; specialize in network security and data analysis.
- Advise on emerging technologies including AI, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automation.
- Drive IT service excellence across service requests, incidents, problem resolution, operational maintenance and SLA management.
- Prepare roadmaps, operational plans, business cases and cost‑benefit analyses for infrastructure initiatives.
- Maintain IT asset management, forecast budget needs for lifecycle planning and manage procurement processes for hardware and infrastructure‑related services.
- Manage multiple IT infrastructure and application projects to ensure goals are met within timelines and budget.
- Supervise and mentor team members; participate in recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant undergraduate degree or diploma.
- A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
- A minimum of 5 years in an IT Infrastructure related administrator/analyst role.
- Strong understanding of network architecture, security, systems administration, and emerging IT technologies.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex infrastructure projects.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing IT considered an asset.
- Certifications/Experience in ITIL, Change Management and other related IT courses also an asset.
