What They Need:
We are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Saskatchewan. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys leading multi-disciplinary project teams, mentoring others, and delivering complex water infrastructure projects from concept through to completion.
Projects could include water supply dams, hydraulic structures, flood protection works, earth retention structures, river diversion works and/or tailings dams
What You'll Do:
- Lead structural and civil engineering design for dams, hydraulic structures, and other water infrastructure projects.
- Prepare technical reports, proposals, and project deliverables.
- Participate in site visits and provide engineering input throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Canada and internationally.
- Mentor and support the development of junior engineers.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development activities.
- Travel periodically to project sites across Canada, and, as needed, internationally.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 15+ years of experience delivering dams, hydraulic structures, and water infrastructure projects.
- P.Eng. designation in Canada or eligibility for registration.
- Strong expertise in reinforced concrete and structural steel design.
- Experience preparing technical reports and supporting proposals.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with any of the following would be assets:
- Concrete dam design.
- Spillway and intake structure design.
- Structural analysis software such as Civil Midas and RISA.
- Knowledge of Canadian dam guidelines and regulations.
- Dam safety inspections, reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode evaluations.
