Job Summary: The Guidewire BC Business Analyst will lead a focused 10-week engagement to assess and improve the Guidewire BillingCenter implementation. The role involves analyzing current business processes, identifying operational challenges, and recommending enhancements to optimize automation, efficiency, and alignment with Guidewire best practices within the billing and delinquency lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the current delinquency process for the non-standard auto portfolio.
- Assess the impact of collecting two initial payments before the standard billing cycle.
- Identify manual activities, process gaps, and inefficiencies in the delinquency lifecycle.
- Review process dependencies and data flows between Guidewire BillingCenter and PolicyCenter.
- Analyze production defects, recurring issues, and backlog trends to find root causes.
- Recommend leveraging out-of-the-box Guidewire BillingCenter capabilities to reduce customization and improve automation.
- Facilitate alignment and understanding of the end-to-end delinquency lifecycle among business and technical stakeholders.
- Review the Three Pay payment plan and delinquency process for operational and customer outcome improvements.
- Examine billing and payment integrations to identify gaps and operational impacts.
- Assess billing payment processes and controls to enhance reliability, monitoring, reconciliation, and delinquency prevention.
- Produce weekly status reports, current and future state process maps, and a prioritized implementation roadmap. Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience gathering business requirements, resolving production issues, and elaborating enhancements.
- Expert-level experience specifically with Guidewire BillingCenter platform.
- Business analysis experience with Guidewire BillingCenter is mandatory.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), or equivalent certification.
- Advanced knowledge of eliciting business, technical, nonfunctional, security, and testing requirements.
- Advanced understanding of software development lifecycles and project delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Advanced skills in documenting epics, features, and user stories. Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Knowledge and experience with Guidewire InsurCloud for Canada.
- Experience in the Canadian property and casualty insurance industry. Special Considerations:
- The engagement is timeboxed to 10 business weeks with potential for extension.
- Start date is within two weeks of signing the scope document.
- Role requires coordination across business and technical stakeholders. Scheduling:
- Full-time commitment during the 10-week engagement period.
